Mentored Encounters for FGASA Apprentice Trails Guides
Gain valuable hours and encounters towards your Lead or Apprentice Trails Guide Qualification in one of KwaZulu Natal’s most spectacular Trails Venues.
Course Overview
Working Guides or guides in training but not able to attend a full course, have the opportunity to join us for any number of days, with the following provided:
- Use of our fully licenced training firearms.
- All meals and accommodation (minimum stay of 3 nights required).
- Professionally mentored trails experience.
- Apprentice or Lead Trails Assessment (provided candidate is suitably qualified and approved for assessment by the FGASA Office). Kindly note that assessment must be booked separately to any other booked experience days and will be charged differently as well. Please enquire about assessment fees.
Wilderness Trails Mentorship Programme
Gain hours and encounters towards your Apprentice or Lead Trails Guide Qualification on a rustic 4 day Wilderness Trails Experience in one of KZN’s most spectacular Trails venues.
- Use of our fully licenced training firearms.
- All meals.
- Professionally Mentored Wilderness Trails Experience.

Admission Requirements
- Must have valid and up to date FGASA Membership.
- Please make sure that you are familiar with current FGASA rules and regulations for logging hours and encounters for all categories of the Apprentice and Trails Guide Programme.
